Compliance with the Money Laundering Regulations 2017
Chapel & Stone Ltd is committed to full compliance with the Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds (Information on the Payer) Regulations 2017. As part of this obligation:
- We are required to undertake client due diligence (CDD), including verifying identity and beneficial ownership.
- We may request documentation such as passports, utility bills, company incorporation records, or other evidence to satisfy regulatory requirements.

3. Client Responsibilities
To enable us to provide services effectively, you agree to:

- Cooperate with our staff and respond promptly to requests.
- Maintain responsibility for decisions made based on our advice.
Failure to provide necessary information may delay or impair service delivery.
4. Fees and Payment

- Invoices: Issued according to agreed billing cycles.
- Payment terms: Payment due within 30 days of invoice unless otherwise agreed.
- Late payment: We reserve the right to charge interest and suspend services until payment is received.
5. Confidentiality and Data Protection
- Confidentiality: We will keep client information confidential and use it only for the purpose of providing services.
- Data protection: Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws (including GDPR).
- Third‑party providers: Where we use third‑party software or services, their terms may also apply.
6. Professional Standards
We perform services in accordance with applicable professional standards, ethical codes, and regulatory requirements.

- IT & risk services: Delivered in line with industry best practices and relevant compliance frameworks.
7. Limitation of Liability
- Basis of advice: Our advice is based on information provided by you. We are not responsible for errors arising from incomplete or inaccurate information.
- Exclusions: We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including loss of profits or data.
- Cap on liability: Our liability is limited to the amount of fees paid for the specific engagement, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
- No exclusion: Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liabilities that cannot be excluded under law.
8. Termination
- By client: You may terminate services by written notice, subject to payment for work completed.
- By firm: We may terminate services for non‑payment, breach of obligations, or where continuing would breach professional standards.
- Effect: Upon termination, obligations accrued prior to termination remain enforceable.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated versions will be published on our website with a revised effective date.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
- Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
